WINE - Tallinn wine sales stumble ahead

TALLINN - While not especially known for its rolling hills and sunny vineyards, Tallinn is nevertheless a place where people enjoy their wine. They also enjoy drinking in general.That's why there was a minor outcry June 1 when Harju County Governor Varner Lootsmann put restrictions in place that outlawed sales of alcohol in shops after 8 p.m., citing the need to  better manage public order during the summer party season. The move was found illegal by the Estonian government given Lootsmann's position of limited power, but soon his Center Party colleagues in the Tallinn City Counc...
