Tourists checking out of Tallinn

EMPTY SPACES: Schlossle Hotel’s outgoing General Manager Peter Knoll points to the recent explosion in the number of hotel rooms and the Bronze Soldier events as reasons for this summer’s low occupancy rate.
TALLINN - “When I arrived in Tallinn in August 2003, we had 3,900 hotel rooms available. By the end of this year we will reach 8,000. In four years, the number of rooms has doubled, but the number of tourists coming here certainly has not doubled.”
Peter Knoll is checking out. After spending four years as the general manager of the prestigious Schlossle Hotel, Knoll is leaving to look for new challenges in other locations.
