Ilves to pay a state visit to Germany

TALLINN - Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves today [Feb. 9] is scheduled to leave for a working visit to Germany where he will take part in a high-level security conference and meet with President Horst Koehler.
Ilves will address the Wehrkunde security conference with a report on 50 years of the European Union - a regional model to ensure peace, security and welfare, the president's office reported. On the sidelines of the conference he is planning to meet with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Ilves will return to Estonia late on Monday evening.
