By TBT staff

VILNIUS - Queen Elizabeth II began her tour of the Baltic nations on Oct. 16, flying in to Vilnius Airport at 8.40pm accompanied by her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
The Queen's state visit to Lithuania will officially start with a welcoming ceremony near the President's Office Tuesday morning, following which Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus and the Queen will exchange presents.
A bilateral meeting between Adamkus and Queen Elizabeth II will also be held at the President's Office.
From the President's Office, the royal couple, accompanied by Adamkus and his wife Alma Adamkiene, will go to the Antakalnis cemetery to honor those who lost their lives fighting for Lithuania's freedom, and will meet with their relatives and Lithuanian servicemen who have taken part in various peacekeeping missions.
