Latvian Ambassador to Finland to discuss co-operation between Kotka and Latvian city

RIGA - Latvian Ambassador to Finland, Einars Semanis, will be among the guests invited to the Maritime Festival, which takes place in Kotka. During the visit, Ambassador Semanis and the Latvian Honorary Consul in Kotka Kai Holmberg will meet with the Mayor of the city, Henry Lindelof, to discuss co-operation possibilities in economy, transport, culture and education. Discussion topics will also include an opportunity to establish a sister city friendship relationship between Kotka and one of the Latvian cities.
Kotka is a Finnish city on the Eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. It boasts the second largest export port in Finland and plays a significant role in the country's transport infrastructure.
