Lithuanian teams score Euroleague victory

NUREMBERG - Zalgiris Kaunas reached first place in its group with four victories out of five games in this year's Euroleague. Lietuvos Rytas won the third consecutive game and now has a 3-2 record. Despite playing without their star center Tanoka Beard, Zalgiris was the first team to beat the German champion GHP Bamberg at home by 79-72. Due to technical reasons, GHP Bamberg hosts its home matches at the bigger arena in nearby Nuremberg.
