VILNIUS – Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda is to deliver his 4th State of the Nation Address to the parliament on Tuesday.

Under the Constitution, the president has the duty "to make annual reports at the Seimas on the situation in Lithuania and the domestic and foreign policies".

Presidents traditionally deliver their annual addresses during the parliament's spring session, which closes on June 30.

In his annual address last year, Nauseda focused on Russia's war in Ukraine and stressed that it ended the period of relative peace in Lithuania and Europe.

The president said, among other things, that the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war was a "personal commitment" for him.
