VILNIUS - A court has allowed the Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission (LRTK) to block access to seven websites illegally retransmitting TV programs, the authority said in a press release.
After obtaining the court's permission on December 17, LRTK two days later issued binding instructions to network service providers to block access to the websites distributing TV programs without notifying the radio and TV watchdog, as required by law.
The seven websites are www.lt-tv.us, www.ittv.us, www.climetv.eu, www.play2pay.info, astra.play2pay.info, rus.play2pay.info and europe.play2pay.info.
LRTK took similar action in May, instructing network service providers to block access to www.samorodok.tv, www.onelike.tv, www.freeintertv.com, www.tvtune.net, www.lttv.us and www.megogo.net.
Those trying to access these sites will be redirected to a special website created by LRTK.
