Lithuania plans to open embassies in UAE, Australia, Indonesia

VILNIUS – Lithuania plans to open embassies in the United Arab Emirates, Australia and Indonesia over the next three years, according to the explanatory note of the next year's state budget bill.

"We plan to open embassies," Rasa Jakilaitiene, spokeswoman for the Lithuanian foreign ministers, confirmed it to BNS Lithuania.

The UAE are rich in oil and it's one of the richest countries in the world in terms of GDP per capita.

Australia is the 13th largest economy and has a large Lithuanian community.

Indonesia is the world's largest island state. It’s the fourth largest country in the world in terms of population, having over 260 million residents.
