RIGA - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andris Pelss and the United States' Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources, Geoffrey Pyatt have discussed cooperation between the two countries on energy issues, LETA was told at the Foreign Ministry.
The officials' discussion also addressed cooperation on energy security issues, the current situation in the region, including the importance of timely support for Ukraine, as well as other topics on the international agenda.
Pelss commended the close bilateral relations between Latvia and the United States and thanked the United States for its important contribution to strengthening of security in the Baltic region.
