Karins to attend Ukraine Recovery Conference on Wednesday

RIGA - Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) will take part in the Ukraine Recovery Conference on Wednesday, June 21, in London, the Prime Minister's Office informed LETA.

The Prime Minister will deliver a speech at the conference's main panel discussion together with representatives of the UK, Ukraine, the US, Poland, Estonia, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, as well as the European Commission.

Bilateral meetings are also planned during the Prime Minister's visit.

The Ukraine Recovery Conference is an annual high-level event. Previously it focused mainly on Ukraine's reform progress, while since 2022, the conference's priority is Ukraine's reconstruction process. The focus of this year's conference will be on the increased involvement of the private sector in Ukraine's reconstruction.

This year's conference is expected to bring together more than 1,000 participants from 61 countries - representatives of international institutions, financial institutions and the private sector.
