TALLINN - Prime Minister Kaja Kallas stressed during question time in the Estonian parliament on Wednesday that the government has no plans to freeze pensions.
"We are not going to reduce pensions or stop indexation," Kallas said.
At the same time, according to Kallas, it is clear that the Ministry of Social Affairs is in the process of revising the state budget, which means that all services provided and support paid in the administrative area of the Ministry of Social Affairs are being reviewed.
"Their conditions and bases are being reviewed. This means that the situation is mapped in relation to the entire budget, but the political choices still remain with the government," the prime minister said.
She added that the 2025 state budget strategy is planned to be finalized in August.
