Estonian formin to meet with EU counterparts on Monday

TALLINN - Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser is to attend the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg on Monday.

The EU ministers will discuss the situation in Afghanistan, focusing on recent developments in peace negotiations and efforts to find a lasting political solution to the conflict, spokespeople for the Ministry of Forteign Affairs said. The High Representative Federica Mogherini will brief the ministers on her March 26 visit to Afghanistan.

Ministers will discuss the future of the Eastern Partnership and look at the state of play of the 20 deliverables by 2020.

During lunch, the ministers will discuss the situation in Venezuela following the most recent developments.
