TALLINN – The freshly established Maltan subsidiary of the listed Estonian casino operator Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG) will, among other things, prepare for the company's entry into new online gambling markets.

"Indeed, the main goal of setting up the OEG subsidiary is preparing for entry into new markets, but as a listed company we can't comment on any such important news in more detail in the developmental phase," CEO of the company Madis Jaager told BNS on Thursday.

Jaager said that most of EU's online gambling operators are registered and operate in Malta, since the country's legal and tax environment is the best suited for that field.

OEG on Wednesday established and registered the company Olybet Malta Limited in Malta, the share capital of which is 5,000 euros and which is fully owned by OEG through its subsidiary. The aim of establishing the subsidiary is to develop the legal platform for the expansion of OEG group's activities in the business of remote gambling.
