Estonia, India sign prisoner transfer agreement

TALLINN - Estonia and India today signed an agreement on the transfer of sentenced individuals between the two nations, according to which Indian and Estonian citizens sentenced to prison in the other nation can serve their sentence in their homeland. "The signed agreement also has a much broader meaning in the relationship of Estonia and India. It creates a framework for handling all future cases," Estonia's ambassador to India Riko Kruuv noted at the signing of the document.
