Demolition site being set up for dismantling monument to Soviet soldiers in Riga's Pardaugava

RIGA - A demolition site is being prepared for dismantling the monument to Soviet soldiers in Riga's Pardaugava, LETA learned at the Riga City Council.

Today, the demolition site will be fenced off and traffic restrictions will be introduced in the vicinity of the monument.

A press conference will be held at the Riga City Council later this morning to present latest information on dismantling of the monument. Riga City Council's Executive Director Janis Lange and the State Police's representative Ansis Pumpurs will take part in the press conference.
