RIGA - Benefits for large families and single-parent families will be increased from today.
As of today, benefits for the fourth and subsequent children in a family will be EUR 50.07 per month, up from the EUR 34.14 now. The State Social Insurance Agency will be given three months to change its information systems accordingly, so payment of the increased benefits, including for the first several months next year, will begin on May 1, 2017.
