RIGA - Various Baltic Pride events will take place in Riga for more than a week in June, concluding with a procession on June 15, Latvian human rights activist and LGBTQI rights defender Kaspars Zalitis told LETA.

Baltic Pride will start with the opening of the Pride House on June 6 and continue with various activities, including talks on eroticism in art, a poster workshop, cinema screenings, parties and the Diversity and Inclusion Forum.

The event will culminate on Saturday June 15 with the Until We Are All Equal march for equality.

The march is organised by the LGBT and their friends association Mozaika.

According to Zalitis, the procession will follow the same route as last year's Riga Pride procession.

LETA was informed that the organizers of the event submitted an application for approval of the procession and it is being assessed.

Information about the Pride events is available on the website balticpride.org.
