AS Tallink Grupp and the Charity Foundation Minu Unistuste Päev (“My Dream Day”), operating in Estonia, are continuing their collaboration to offer children with serious and chronic illnesses, and their loved ones, unforgettable experiences both at sea and on land. In addition, the company is donating 5,000 euros to the charity so that personalised Dream Days can also be organised for children who are facing health problems and, due to life circumstances, are unable to grow up with their biological families.

“Every day, Tallink creates meaningful experiences and the joy of togetherness for thousands of people who travel on our ships or stay in our hotels. We are truly delighted to be working with My Dream Day charity to bring joy to children whose daily lives are overshadowed by serious or chronic illness. Wonderful memories and positive emotions give them strength and hope,” said Peep Jalakas, CEO of the Tallink Grupp.

According to Margarita Ingel, Executive Director of the Charity Foundation Minu Unistuste Päev (My Dream Day), Tallink’s support will this year also reach children and young people who are facing health problems and, due to life circumstances, are unable to live with their biological parents.

“Fulfilling the dreams of children living in care homes often requires more time, the building of trust and cooperation between various parties. Thanks to Tallink’s support, this year we have been able to organise two Dream Day projects for a total of four young people and have offered hope and special moments to those children who are battling serious illness whilst also facing major changes in their lives,” said Margarita Ingel.

My Dream Day charity has been operating in Estonia for 15 years and has organised more than 1,000 Dream Day events during that time. The charity’s work was inspired by the Swedish charity Min Stora Dag and has grown into an organisation bringing together nearly a hundred volunteers.

The aim of the collaboration between Tallink and My Dream Day is to support children’s wellbeing through special experiences and to help ensure that as many children as possible can enjoy positive experiences that they will remember for the rest of their lives. Tallink also has a similar partnership with the Swedish organisation Min Stora Dag.
