Silk is a traditional restaurant featuring classic Uzbek recipes and dishes prepared by six award-winning chefs from Tashkent right in the centre of Riga complete with characteristic Uzbek hospitality.
The spirit of Central Asia can be observed in all the details at Silk, from the colourful, stylish and contemporary interior supplemented by fine antiques to the authentic dishes and a special tandoor oven. Weekly supplies from Uzbekistan, local organic halal lamb and the dexterity of the Uzbek chefs lifts the gastronomic experience to a new high.
Juicy meat or fish dishes, crunchy chebureki or vegetable samsa with pumpkin, democratically priced business lunches or a relaxing dinner, everything on offer at Silk meets all tastes. The cooks even go the extra mile from make truly authentic Central Asian cuisine, also covering Silk Road dishes such as the Asian fish Khe and Mediterranean Lachmacun. Subtle and light pilaf, manti (try also with pumpkin), amazing lagman, shurpa soups, robata-made grill, tandoor-cooked bread, all enjoyed from state-of-art hand-made pottery. Vegetarian/vegan options are on the menu as well. The exotic flavours of the dishes are enhanced by a specially selected wine list, with original cocktails also available. A gastronomic treasure!
The restaurant is on two levels, and can host up to 200 guests at a time. A special children’s play area is located on the first floor.
