Engaging with contemporary creative practices in all their compelling diversity, the Foundation pays particular attention to environmentally mindful creativity that seeks to explore and promote ecological solidarity in a post-anthropocene perspective.

The Foundation advances enduring creative partnerships and collaboration throughout the contemporary cultural scene in the Baltic region and between leading international artists, curators, researchers, theorists, gallerists and creative industry professionals. By running the PAiR residency and organising exhibitions, community art projects, educational events and vernacular creativity workshops, the VV Foundation aims to become a leading patron of contemporary culture in the region.

The VV Foundation Collection:

The VV Foundation Collection is constantly evolving and includes over 400 works of art spanning a variety of visual art media from painting, graphics and sculpture to video, photography, installation art and mixed-media projects.

Featuring both emerging and established contemporary artists, the collection traces the evolution of Baltic contemporary art from the 1980s up to the present day, encompassing a polyphonic ensemble of artistic movements, trends and styles. Over the years, the VV Foundation has been placing an increasing focus on art that is environmentally mindful in terms of narrative, aesthetics, artistic technique and sustainable practice.
