Vice-minister: Lithuania may close border due to refugees, if needed

VILNIUS – Lithuania is ready to protect the external border of the European Union in case of approaching out-of-control refugee flows,  Interior Vice-Minister Elvinas Jankevicius said on March 4, adding that the border could be closed, if necessary. “As to the protection of the eastern border — we are ready on various levels, we can close our borders, too.
