Ventspils loses second-leg qualifier, will play in FIBA Europe Cup

VENTSPILS - Latvian basketball club Ventspils was defeated by Hungary's Szombathely Falco 55:73 (18:13, 12:18, 15:17, 10:25) in the second leg of Qualification Round 2 for the Basketball Champions League, losing 124:148 on aggregate.

Falco has therefore qualified for the tournament's group stage, while Ventspils will play in the FIBA Europe Cup.

Marcis Vitols led Ventspils with 14 points, Janis Berzins scored nine points, while Ryan Luther had seven points and nine rebounds.
