TALLINN - Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna told his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen on Thursday that Estonia is ready, if necessary, to contribute its soldiers to Greenland's security.

"Estonia is participating in the planning of a European joint exercise and is ready to contribute to securing Greenland with its soldiers if necessary," Tsahkna said.

"Estonia is convinced that all challenges concerning the security of Greenland and the Arctic are best addressed within the Alliance framework, through enhanced joint defense planning and inter-allied coordination. Estonia is ready to contribute its own forces to this effort," the foreign minister stated.
