The largest LEGO exhibition in the Baltics can be found at Ülemiste City

The largest LEGO exhibition in the Baltics, organized at Ülemiste City, features over 300 sets and more than 300,000 LEGO bricks. The oldest exhibit on display was assembled by its owner 25 years ago.

The idea behind BrickEXPO came from Sten Pärnits, Chairman of the Management Board of Mainor Ülemiste, the developer of Ülemiste City, and Toomas Tähe, CEO of Grandhaus, the company managing the campus. Both are passionate LEGO enthusiasts who have been collecting rare LEGO sets for decades and have now brought them together for the exhibition.

“You could say that this exhibition has been 25 years in the making, since that is when the first LEGO set featured here was assembled,” says Pärnits. In total, 300 sets are on display, some of which are extremely rare worldwide, while others are sure to evoke nostalgia among LEGO fans. Visitors can stroll through cities familiar from Disney cartoons, admire some of the world’s most famous architectural wonders, build their own LEGO car and then put it to the test on a special racing track. Many of the exhibits have been enhanced with motion and lighting effects that bring the LEGO models to life.

According to Pärnits, the exhibition, which opened in February, is constantly growing. As a result, it was expanded into an additional room last month to accommodate all the exhibits and allow visitors to explore them more comfortably. However, the exhibition is still not complete.

“One of the most exciting projects currently under development is a full-scale LEGO model of the Ülemiste campus,” says Pärnits. It is being built by a LEGO enthusiast who works on the campus and has previously created similar works for Niguliste Church, other exhibitions, and shop window displays.

At BrickEXPO, guests can also put their creativity to the test by building with LEGO bricks of various sizes, take part in LEGO-themed search and guessing games, or learn more about LEGO culture in the exhibition’s reading corner.
