TALLINN -  The world’s oil shale reserves are enormous. According to the World Energy Council, the world’s oil shale reserves contain around 6,050 billion barrels of shale oil, which makes them four times the size of the world’s conventional crude oil reserves. Estonia is the world leader in utilizing oil shale, which is a sedimentary rock that contains an organic material called kerogen.
