Ten Estonian writers given state grants

TALLINN - Ten Estonian artists and writers will be given an annual salary for three years by the government under a new scheme to encourage the arts and bring “precious creations” to light. The Estonian Ministry of Culture announced the pilot project last Friday, which was scheduled to be officially launched at a press conference on Monday, and a call for applications was to be made.
