TALLINN - On Friday, a conference on Belarus is being held at the Tallinn Creative Hub, focusing on the human rights situation in Belarus, holding the regime accountable, and visions for the future of Belarus, and the keynote speaker at the conference is Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the leader of the Belarusian Democratic Forces.
The conference will also address topics such as media freedom and the role of civil society. The discussions will focus on the challenges facing the Belarusian people, both in the context of an increasingly authoritarian regime and Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The aim of the conference is to ensure an environment for exchange of ideas and opinions, to find new contacts, and to coordinate activities. The target group includes democratic activists from the entire region, politicians, experts, opinion and community leaders, and journalists. The conference helps ensure that Belarus remains a focus on the European political agenda.
A wide range of topics covered during panel discussions will help raise awareness of the complex problems facing the Belarusian people and support constructive dialogue in shaping a better future.
The keynote speakers at the conference are Tsikhanouskaya and Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.
