RIGA - During the upcoming visit of Belarusan opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya to Latvia, the strictest epidemiological protocol will be observed, LETA was told by Foreign Ministry press secretary Janis Bekeris.
He stated that the persons will be provided with separate movement, face masks will be used and the distance between them will be maintained. According to Bekeris, disinfection of all premises will be performed before and after the meetings, as well as the number of persons involved will be strictly limited.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Tikhanovskaya's meetings with Latvian officials are planned without the participation of the media and no public events are planned to minimize any contact.
As reported, during her visit to Latvia on Friday, Tikhanovskaya will meet with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, President Egils Levits and Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins.
She will also participate remotely in the annual international security and politics forum Riga Conference 2020.
