Storm approaching in Estonia, over 3,100 customers already without power

TALLINN - Although the Environment Agency's forecast predicts a powerful thunderstorm to hit Estonia only by Monday evening, strong winds have already been blowing all day, leaving more than 3,100 customers without electricity.

According to the outage map of the state-owned power distribution system operator Elektrilevi, as of 2:30 p.m., 1,256 households in Harju County were without power due to technical failures, followed by 632 in Jarva County, 466 in Jogeva County, 280 in Tartu County, 125 in Viljandi County, and 120 in Rapla County. In other counties, the number of power outages is below 100.

In total, as of 2:30 p.m., a total of 3,190 consumers were affected by technical failures.
