Smedins/Samoilovs through to Moscow World Tour final

MOSCOW - On Saturday, Latvian beach volleyball pair Aleksandrs Samoilovs and Janis Smedins advanced to the final of the Moscow World Tour stage final.

In the semifinals, the 18th seeded Latvian pair defeated the 20th seeded Brazilian pair Saymon Barbosa and Gustavo Carvalhaes 2-1 (14:21, 21:12, 22:20).

In the final, which will be played this evening, the Latvian pair will take on Brazilian pair and defending Olympic champions Alison Cerutti and Alvaro Filho,

This is the first World Tour final of the year for Samoilovs/Smedins.
