RIGA - Prime Minister Evika Silina (New Unity) will go on a working visit to Paris on Tuesday, January 6, where she will attend a meeting of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing countries, which will also be attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the prime minister's advisor Anna Udre told LETA.

During the meeting, leaders of the Coalition of the Willing countries will discuss continuation of support for Ukraine, strengthening security guarantees, and a common position on a just and lasting peace in Europe.

On January 3, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing security advisors took place in Kyiv, where Latvia was represented by Silina's national security advisor Airis Rikveilis.

Participants in the meeting discussed security and economic issues, as well as coordination of further steps with the coalition partners. The aim of the meeting was to lay the groundwork for the coalition leaders' meeting and to coordinate joint action toward the development of a peace plan for Ukraine.

The Coalition of the Willing brings together countries willing and ready to contribute to Ukraine.
