Russian rail car manufacturer UWC to set up service center in Estonia

TALLINN – United Wagon Company (UWC), a major Russian manufacturer of railcars, is to open a service center for freight cars in Estonia.

The company has reached an agreement with Skinest Rail, in the framework of which UWC freight cars will be serviced in a depot in Valga, Global Rail News writes.

Depot staff have undergone an UWC course for the maintenance of freight cars and the location of the service center will allow the company to offer spare parts in all Baltic countries in 48 hours.

The UWC network includes 61 service centers and six training centers located in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Estonia.
