Russian embassy in Estonia receives bomb threat

TALLINN - The embassy of the Russian Federation in Tallinn informed the police on Wednesday afternoon that it has received a written bomb threat, Postimees reports.

In order to ensure safety, access to the area was restricted by the police and explosive ordnance disposal experts checked the embassy's outer perimeter. Employees of the embassy promised to conduct checks inside the building.

Nothing suspicious was found in the course of the checks, according to Alo Vaidlo, head of field operations at the North Prefecture of the Police and Border Guard Board, and movement around the embassy was permitted once more at around 5:30 p.m.
