RIGA – Public administration plans to to introduce “zero bureaucracy” approach, according to the State Chancellery’s informative report submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for revision.
The State Chancellery said in its report that in the past years the negative impact of the adopted regulations on business environment has been growing, and there is no common and efficient solution adopted in public administration for reduction of the administrative load. Assessing experience of several countries and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in these matters, there is a proposal to introduce the “zero bureaucracy” approach.
Among other things, business representatives will be engaged in development of normative acts from the very first stage, thus, promoting development of weighed, efficient and understandable solutions that reduce the administrative load.
Different ways and methodologies are proposed to introduce the “zero bureaucracy”.
It is planned that there will be a preparation process carried out until October, and in November the “zero bureaucracy” approach can be introduced.
