President could not leave for Riga due to plane breakdown

A delegation led by Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite on November 18 could not fly out to Riga to attend celebrations of Latvia‘s 100th independence anniversary due to a sudden technical problem of an Air Force‘s Spartan. The delegation was informed about the problem just before the flight after arriving at Vilnius Airport, according to her press service. The president congratulated people of Latvia on the occasion of centennial via a special video message recorded at Vilnius Airport.
