RIGA - The State Police have started an administrative procedure against a man for support to Russia's war against Ukraine voiced at Tik Tok application, LETA learned from State Police Kurzeme regional department's representative Madara Sersnova.
The police officials, monitoring internet contents, discovered a video on social networks in which a person, most believably under the influence of alcohol, voiced his attitude, supporting Russia's attack on Ukraine.
The police identified the man and discovered that he lived in Ventspils, therefore the case was handed over to the local police department. The man during the meeting with police officers admitted his deeds and voiced regrets. An administrative office procedure has been launched.
The State Police reminds that such activities in the public space are classified as petty hooliganism. The administrative offense carries a fine of EUR 70-500.
