VILNIUS – Neringa Cerniauskaite and Ugnius Gelguda, the Lithuanian artists behind the artistic duo Pakui Hardware, will represent Lithuania at the 60 Venice Biennale in 2024, the Lithuanian National Museum of Art said on Wednesday.

The pair will present an immersive installation about bodies "on fire" at the Lithuanian pavilion and it will include works by painter Marija Terese Rozanskaite (1933–2007). The project is produced by the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and curated by Valentinas Klimasauskas and Joao Laia.

Open for more than six months, the exhibition will reflect the artists' experiences, and the visuals will speak about the fevers affecting humanity and the world.

Lithuania's pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale, which was the stage for the Sun & Sea (Marina) opera performance, won the main prize, the Golden Lion for best national pavilion.
