Over 700 companies from 37 countries to participate in Riga Food fair this year

RIGA - More than 700 companies from 37 countries will participate in the annual international food industry fair Riga Food 2019, the project’s head Rolands Nezbots said at the Riga Food 2019 opening event today.

Of the participants, 40 percent will be Latvian producers, 23 percent Latvian importers and services providers and 37 percent will be foreign companies. The foreign participants of the Riga Food fair are large companies looking for new sales markets.

This year, the exhibition will feature 13 joint stands of Belarus, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Estonia, Italy, Mexico, Latvia, Lithuania, Canada, Ukraine and Russia.

Latvia’s national joint stand will represent 22 companies, including Almarini, Alija Starkelsen, Dimdini, Galas Nams Adazi, Kronis, Lat Eko Food, LKOM, Jaunpils Pienotava, Mosenc, Perfecto, Skriveru Saldumi, Top Food, Valezs, Very Berry and several members of the Latvian Bakers’ Association.

This year’s Riga Food industry fair will take place from September 4 to 7 at the Kipsala International Exhibition Center.
