TALLINN – Oman's police aviation detail has rescued an Estonian man who had got stuck on a mountain in Oman's Muscat Governorate, Postimees reported.
A statement by the Royal Oman Police said the police aviation detail carried out an operation to rescue an Estonian national trapped on a mountain in the Falaj Al-Sham area in the Wilayat of Baushar while mountain hiking, the Times of Oman reported.
The man had found himself in a place from which he could no longer get either forward or backward on his own. During the rescue operation, the man was pulled aboard a helicopter with a rescue basket and delivered to a safe place.
