RIGA - Customs officials seized an illegal shipment of military hardware at RigaInternational Airport on Aug 18.According to security police the shipment originated in Russia and was boundfor the Iranian capital Tehran. The 28-ton shipment was labeled ascontaining agricultural equipment, but upon closer examination inspectorsfound that it contained night vision equipment, anti-aircraft gun parts,armaments, and caterpillar treads for tanks.Security police valued the shipment at $315,000.According to Security Police experts, the shipment contained antiquated butstill functional Russian milita...
