I read your article "Sexism found to be rife in Estonia" (TBT 364) with great interest. As an American living in Estonia (of Estonian parentage), I must say that there is a marked discrimination against women in Estonian society that I find offensive and backward. But the sad fact is that Estonian women only have themselves to blame. They readily conform to the stereotypical roles demanded of them and a sort of "Tarzan and Jane" mentality prevails in many women, where women only need to look beautiful in exchange for male patronage.
