Rarely do the Baltic nations snarl at one another, but from time to time it does happen – as with any neighbors. This week two of the Baltic nations were up in arms over what one perceived was a diplomatic snub and what another called a simple scheduling conflict. Lithuania, which wanted to put on a gala show for the 750th anniversary of its king, had invited Vaira Vike-Freiberga to attend the festivities. But Latvia's president didn't show up.
