Between Iraq and a hard place

The United States should not go to war against Iraq. It is a statement that comes as a surprise even to this writer. After much contemplation, an initial stance in support of freeing Iraq from its rogue ruler has been compromised by overwhelming world opinion. The world would be a better place without Saddam Hussein. Most practical people interested in fact-finding and history must agree with Tony Blair: Saddam's continued presence on the world stage "betrays the security of future generations." Clearly, people of the world have become less practical and almost lackadaisical where scoundrel...
