Lithuanian economy steaming ahead

VILNIUSBolstered by a late surge in exports, the Lithuanian economy surpassed initial forecasts and grew by 5.9 percent in 2002, according to figures released by the statistics department and the Ministry of Finance.Moreover, ministry analysts believe all the conditions are in place for the brisk growth to continue this year.
