Swedes, Danes favor adopting euro

STOCKHOLMA majority of Swedes would now approve adopting the euro, although the "yes" camp has lost ground among farmers, opinion polls published Jan. 24 showed.A poll by Danmark's Statisks and the Gfk market research institute showed 52 percent of Swedes would currently vote "yes" or "probably yes" in a euro referendum scheduled for Sep. 14.
