All sights set on NATO

VILNIUS - Now that Poland, Lithuania's neighbor and strategic partner, has joined NATO, leaders in Vilnius are enthusiastic that the military alliance will soon set its sights on the small Baltic country to the north."We hope that in April [at the NATO summit in Washington], the best prepared countries, including Lithuania, will be handed an invitation to join the alliance," said President Valdas Adamkus at a March 15 dinner for NATO ambassadors in Vilnius.
