Parliament to ratify WTO agreement

RIGA - If Latvia wants to be a full-fledged member of the World Trade Organization next year, Parliament must ratify the agreement on joining the organization before it leaves for its Christmas break.Risards Lobanovskis, deputy chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, said the committee has proposed urgent ratification. The Parliament is scheduled to address the issue at its last session of the year on Dec. 17.
