Estonian-Russian border talks nearing conclusion

TALLINN - Border talks between Estonia and Russia could be concluded at the next round, according to Foreign Minister Raul Malk, head of the Estonian border delegation. Talks between the two countries have been ongoing for six years and culminated in a draft agreement in 1996. But no agreement has yet been signed. Since this time, the two sides have been working on technical points, which were again the agenda at the talks held in Tallinn on Nov 5.
