KROON COINS PULLED OUT OF CIRCULATION: German casino owners need worry no more. The Bank of Estonia announced it has withdrawn from circulation 16 million 1-kroon coins, all of which were declared illegal tender back in June. The central bank issued new coins in March that differ in size, weight and color from the old ones, which too closely matched the German 1-mark coin. Germany complained to Estonia about kroon coins, which are one-eighth the value of one mark, being used in slot and other vending machines in Germany.
